High level athlete with the ideal frame and length for a wing player. Makes his mark as a lockdown on-ball defender who sits down in a defensive stance and has active feet and hands. Good rebounder for his position, both in and out of space. Best as a slasher and finisher on offense, both in transition and in the half court, and needs to continue to work on his perimeter game and ball skills.

Very talented left-handed combo guard who can score in a variety of ways, but also has the ability to run an offense due to his high basketball IQ, vision and unselfish nature. Solid ball handler and athlete who can break down the defense with a quick first step and finish at the rim through or around contact. Consistent 3-point shooter both off the catch and with a rhythm dribble or two. Fundamental perimeter defender with impressive length and lateral speed. Quick burst allows him to help and recover, while also shooting passing lanes for steals, resulting in transition opportunities. Always looks to get downhill on the break and put pressure on the defense.

5’10” G Carson Anderson of Camarillo HS 2019 (SoCal Future)

Heady and tough combo guard with a nice feel on the perimeter. Knockdown 3-point shooter with fundament mechanics and good lift on his jump shot.

*6’0” PG Ethan Anderson of Fairfax HS 2019 (Dream Vision 17U)

High IQ and physical leader who scores it as well as he distributes. Can put the ball in the basket in a variety of ways, but is best when getting in the paint and finishing strong at the rim or pulling up for a mid-range jumper. Capable of knocking down the 3-pointer, but does need to get more consistent from that range. Understands how to use his strength to his advantage against smaller, quicker guards, fending them off with his hips and shoulders to get where he wants to go. Does not over-handle the basketball and looks to get a paint touch and kick the ball out to an open 3-point shooter. Difficult to stop with a head of steam in transition. 6’3” SG Dawson Baker of Capistrano Valley HS 2018 (Dream Vision 17U)

Creative scoring guard with the ability to put the ball in the basket from 3-point range, mid-range and at the basket. Will not blow you away with speed, athleticism or a dribble package, but knows how to create space with the dribble and change speeds to nullify any athletic disadvantage he may have. One of the more picturesque jump shots around and he can stroke it both off the catch and off the dribble.

-Long shooter with deep range who rebounds well. He has the ability to start the break. A big three or stretch-four that can defend inside or out. Low major plus/mid major minus.

*6’4” PG LaMelo Ball of Chino Hills HS 2019 (Big Ballers)

-Big time scorer with unlimited shooting range.  Extreme ball handling skills.  Can drive and create for his teammates or slash to the rim.  Killer instinct, may miss 6 shots in a row and then make the next 5. Shot selection is shaky at times. High Major Div. 1.

6’3” PG J.R. Ballard of Lathrop HS 2018 (California United 17)

Physical and strong guard who uses his nice combination of strength and speed to get to the basket at-will. Has the ability to finish among the trees due to his understanding of how to use his body to his advantage and his body control. Really excels in transition situations where he can use an impressive burst of speed to blow by retreating defenders and get into the paint and create. Raw big man prospect with impressive size and length for such a young player. Understands his role as a post player and doesn’t float on the perimeter. Can catch and finish around the basket with a good pass and space to move. Has a good defensive foundation of contesting without fouling and finding a body to block out when a shot goes up.

6’3” PG Sam Beskind of Sunnyside HS 2018 (AZ Powerhouse Hoops 17U Black)

Uncanny combination of size, length and athletic ability for prospect his size and age. Offensive game looks to be unlimited as he can catch and finish around the basket with touch and authority, while also catching lob passes for dunks and knocking down mid-range and 3-point shots. Lacks the ability to score with his back to the basket and has the propensity to linger around the 3-point line and settle for long jumpers. Elite rim protector, shot blocker and rebounder based on size and presence alone. Has deep-seated defensive instincts which allow him to time his blocked shots, while also keeping the ball in play. Changes ends of the floor well. Elite prospect who is a pro.
