Report on 2013 Bay Area Memorial Day Classic

 

The third annual Bay Area Memorial Day Classic was held Saturday to Monday May 25th – 27th at City College of San Francisco, Game Changers in Hayward and Tice Valley Rec Center in Walnut Creek. 101 teams in four divisions (17 Elite, 17 Varsity, 16U, 14/15U) from throughout the west coast participated. Here is a report on the Elite and Varsity divisions. Players are listed alphabetically by last name.

Top Prospects (*Indicates Highest Consideration)

6'2" PG Keith Adams of Piner HS 2015 (Sonoma County Bearcats)
-Point guard with a great basketball I.Q., a very balanced player with his offensive and defensive game, very aggressive and plays bigger than his listed height.

6'6" PF Cade Alcorn of Buchanan HS 2015 (Lakeshow 16s Elite)
-Lots of upside with this strong-bodied four man who already has a nice game. He can shoot threes with consistent accuracy and can also take his defender and score on him down low. He's a also a solid rebounder.

6'0 PG Ismail Ali of San Leandro HS 2013 (North Coast Express)
-See's the floor well, excellent passer in traffic, good spot up shooter, good on ball defender. Thrives in pressure situations- not afraid to be the go to guy.

6'5" SG/PF Nate Amundsen of Central HS 2014 (TSB 17)
-This is a very versatile basketball player. He passes well, plays smart and is a great shooter with solid release point and high arch on shot. Rebounds it well and will take charges. He uses his size to bang with taller players and is fairly active with quick feet. A hustler who maximizes what he has.

*5'11" PG Juwan Anderson of Bishop O'Dowd HS 2014 (Oakland Rebels Supriem 16)
-A very quick one man that has excellent court awareness. His handle is under control and very quick as he breaks his man down to get to the rim or drive and kick to the open man. His ball handling skills are very good and he has command of his body while getting around defenders on the ground and midair. His midrange jump shot is on target with a full speed release. Creates open shots for his teammates by penetrating and making the right read. Understands his role as a leader and makes his teammates better

6'5 SF Ryan Anderson of Newark Memorial HS 2014 (East Bay Havoc)
-Can handle the ball a little bit, shot needs work but it is coming along, good court vision and doesn't mind sharing the ball. He is an excellent passer with nice ball handling skills. He can defend multiple positions. NAIA/Division III prospect.

6'1" G Kendall Arhcie of Christian Brothers HS 2015 (All-Star Sports Predators 16u)
-A good outside shooter that is an excellent team defender. He can score in a variety of ways by working the post or taking his opponent off the dribble.

*6'4" SF Devin Asiasi of De La Salle HS 2016 (Greenline)
-A small forward that can handle the ball and lead the break like a guard. His solid frame and strength allows him to cover taller older players while he can step out and defend the perimeter as well. He is very creative around the basket and can make plays for others. He can get to the rim and finish with contact. He needs to develop a consistent perimeter shot. He is a solid division one prospect.

6'1" SG Isiah Bailey of Jesuit HS 2015 (Nor Cal Wildcats 16u Black)
-With a thick strong frame he can finish with contact while still displaying finesse. He shot the ball from beyond the arc effectively all weekend.

6'1 G Jordan Balser of Colfax HS 2014 (Cal Elite 17u)
-Solid ball handler with ability to not only get others involved but to shoot the ball from distance. Solid driver and a decent rebounder.

6'0" SG Quinn Barnard of O'Dea HS, WA 2016 (A Plus)
-Two guard who can really shoot the ball well from beyond the arc. The threes were on display all weekend.

6'6 C Damien Banford of Newark Memorial HS 2014 (North Coast Express)
-Can throw his weight around but is too content to play the guard's role. Must work inside if he's worth his weight in gold. Excellent free throw shooter, especially in pressure situations, good on ball defender and good rebounder. Consistent game time player. Needs to lose some weight and develop more conditioning. Worth low major consideration.

*6'5 SF Gabe Bealer of Antelope HS 2013 (PHPS Elite)
-Very quick and athletic wing who gets to the basket anytime he wants. Runs the floor real well and can finish in transition. He is also an active defender with the ability to defend three positions. Division I prospect who is likely headed to prep school.

6'1" PG Ryan Berg of Tigard HS, OR 2014 (Oregon D-I Ambassadors 17u)
-Competitve one man, smooth ball handler and passer, sees the floor, penetrates/drives effectively, can rebound, plays with attack mentality.

6'2 PG/SG Sam Bide of Freedom HS 2013 (Rocktown Elite)
-Physical and active combo guard. Can score when attacking the basket. Ok shooter with range to 3 and can pull up in the half court. Low Division II/NAIA prospect.

5'10" PG William Blue of Washington Union 2014 (Next Level)
-A nice ball handler with good court vision. His shot is consistent and range is easily as deep as the college arc.

6'6 PF/C KJ Bosco of Benson HS, OR 2014 (Oregon Pump and Run)
-Hard-nosed post player who goes after the ball but isn't always under control. Not especially skilled around the basket but not afraid to take a hit. Division II prospect.

6'0 PG Devin Bracey of Vallejo HS 2014 (Lakeshow 17 Elite)
-Super quick point guard. Makes a lot of good decisions and unselfish with the ball. Low Division I/ high Division II prospect.

5'9 PG Sherron Bradford of Granite Bay HS 2013 (E-Time Hoops)
-Good speed and quickness. Can attack the basket and has a good 15' jumper. Plays with high energy. NAIA/Division III prospect.

6'6 PF Josh Brakee of Tracey HS 2014 (Nor Cal Outlawz)
-Lengthy body but not very big. Could be useful to a program who needs a four man that can run the floor and fill the high post. NAIA/Division III prospect.

6'1" SG/PG Anthony Brooks of Modesto Christian HS 2014 (Stanco Stampede)
-Athletic combo guard, can handle and pass, ok playmaker in transition, capable driver.
6'2 SG Austin Brooks of Sacramento HS 2013 (Nor Cal Warriors 17u)
-Good athlete who can make a difference on both ends. He sees the court very well distributing the ball at full speed in transition.

5'11" PG Derek Brown of Auburn Riverside HS, WA 2014 (Washington D-I Ambassadors)
-Fairly athletic one man, ok in transition, has a nice hesitation move and good first step, ok shooter with range to 3 a bit erratic at times.

*6'2" SG Jamaliah Brown of Oakland HS 2014 (Oakland Rebels 17)
-This player has big time talent. His game was at full force all weekend. He has really deep three point range with a quick release that is under control with no wasted movement providing consistent buckets. Division I prospect.

*6'3"SG/SF Jordan Brown of Sheldon HS 2016 (PHPS Elite)
-Can shoot if left open or finish around the rim when attacking. He can be explosive with above average athleticism and a nice burst of speed, finishes well in transition. Put him high on the radar in the class of 2016!

6'7" SF Nick Burrows of Manteca HS 2014 (Nor Cal Outlawz)
-He is an excellent team leader. He rebounds well at both ends of the court and can rebound and then lead the break with the dribble making good decisions in the open court. He has a decent 16 foot shot and is always talking on defense. He also moves well without the ball to get himself open. Has a slight frame and could use some bulk/strength.

*6'2" PG Aaron Cameron of Sacramento HS 2013 (Lakeshow 17 Elite)
-A fast and powerful guard who has a really good pull up three from college range. He is also a very good distributor. His handle is tight and very controlled and he can really shoot it.

6'3" SG Jovante Carleton of El Cerrito HS 2014 (Oakland Soldiers 17 Blue)
-This two guard is very smooth and deceptively fast and quick running in transition and attacking the glass. He has a great first step and an ok shot.

6'0" SG Sal Carlos (Fast Break 17 White)
-Strong with the ball, makes good decisions. Has a big body for a guard but surprising quickness to go with it. Tenacious defender. He isn't going to shoot the lights out but can knock it down from time to time. Division II/NAIA prospect.

5'11" SG Dezmond Chatman of Bishop O'Dowd HS 2014 (Lakeshow 17 Black)
-Quick guard. Can shoot it and is a solid ball handler and passer. Good attack and pull up for the 15' shot. His size puts him at a disadvantage. Division II prospect who may be worth a look for low majors.

*6'8" PF/C Marquese Chriss of Pleasant Grove HS 2015 (Nor Cal Wildcats Elite)
-Long and athletic and combo postman. Does a great job using his body in post moves and reading the defender. Perimeter shot is coming along. Good shot blocker with long arms. Mid-division I prospect with a nice upside.

6'2" F Daniel Chukwu of American HS 2014 (East Bay Havoc)
-He has a high running motor that goes and goes. He has a good shot but is a better finisher at the rim to accompany a solid focus on rebounding

6'1 SG/SF Jeremy Churchill of Grant HS 2014 (Spirit Got Game)
-Solid defender. Uses his athleticism to block shots and disrupt an offense. Good driver with a nice hesitation move and a burst of speed. Worth low najor consideration.

*6'6" SF Derrick Clayton of Castro Valley HS 2014 (Oakland Rebels 17)
-Seemingly flies up and down the court. Gets to the basket on the drive very well and with size and speed he can defend multiple positions.

6'0 PG Ty Cleland of West Linn HS, OR 2014 (Oregon DI Ambassadors 17u)
-Solid handler who attacks well off the dribble. Above average jumper, makes plays in transition. Division II/NAIA prospect.

*6'4" SF Armani Collins of Stuart Hall HS 2015 (Nor Cal Wildcats 17 Elite)
-Athletic wing scorer. Can handle and pass, shoots it fairly well with range to 3, has a nice floater. Probable mim major prospect.

6'2 SG Patrick Conroy of Marin Catholic HS 2013 (Lakeshow Seniors)
-Can shoot the ball or get to the basket. Bottom line is he can put the ball in the hole. Great spot up 3 or can put it on the floor and pull up. Division II prospect.

6'2" G Patrick Conroy of Marin Catholic HS 2013 (Lakeshow Seniors)
-A nice shooting guard that can consistently knock down three pointers and free throws under pressure and in tight game situations.

*6'7 SF/PF Keith Datu of St. Joseph's HS 2014 (Nor Cal Wildcats)
-Long and athletic. Can attack from the perimeter or hit the open shot. He is very active defensively and times shot blocking very well. Division I prospect.

6'2" SG Oliver Davis of Valley Christian HS 2014 (Nor Cal Jump Squad)
-He is a really good shooter from all angles beyond the arc. He has good size and rebounds noticeably well for a shooting guard.

5'9" PG Dante Dominguez of Freedom HS 2014 (Blue Devils)
Solid ball handler, can knock down the 3, defends well.

6'0" SG Jonathan Doutt of McNary HS 2014 (Clutch Players 17 Silver)
-Shooter. Every time he puts it up it has a good chance to go in. He is fast with the ball in transition and is effective under pressure. NAIA/Division III prospect.

6'1" G Rolaun Dunham of Riverbank HS 2014 (Stanco Stampede Black)
-A hard worker on and off the ball. He is good with the ball and demonstrated a consistent mid-range shot.

6'7" PF Chimese Ebiriekwe of Crenshaw HS 2014 (Fastbreak Sports 17u White)
-A player that hustles hard and is long and athletic. He is an excellent communicator and is always active at both ends of the court. Very good rebounder with a nice 15ft jump shot and also a great shot blocker

6'3" SF Marcellus Esezobor of Skyline HS 2015 (Blue Devils)
-Can handle the ball well, good defender with length and shoots the three ok.

6'7" PF Justin Everett of Buchanan HS 2014 (California Chaos 17u)
-Has a big, muscular frame to go along with a 6'11 wing span, which allows him to guard bigger players. Finishes well around the basket, can catch and shoot from the perimeter, or put it on the floor and finish at the rim. He has nice hands and works hard to get open on offense and get rebounds on defense.

5'11" PG Frankie Ferrari of Burlingame HS 2014 (Lunardi's 17)
-A leader with his team hitting shots consistently, passing the ball to open teammates, and being very active on defense. He is an excellent passer and can effectively lead the break at full speed with the ability to take contact and finish. High Division II/Low Division I prospect.

6'3 SG Jose Flores of St. Patrick/St. Vincent HS 2014 (PHPS Elite)
-Strong body guard with the ability to shoot the ball. He has a quick move off the dribble. Can defend 1-3. Above avg passer/court vision. Division II prospect.

6'3 SF Sebastian Flores of College Park HS 2014 (Lakeshow 17 Elite)
-Great defense, strong leader, attacks the basket and can really finish.

*6'0" PG Jordan Ford of Folsom HS 2016 (PHPS Renegades)
-A crafty young guard with strong ball handling skills that can use the right and left hand. He has a high basketball I.Q. Pulls up real well in the half court and has a nice floater. A solid young prospect.

6'3 SG Devin Foster of Tracy HS 2014 (Nor Cal Outlawz)
- A scrappy combo guard known more for his defensive presence. He usually draws the defensive assignment for the best perimeter threat for the opposing team and is very active on the defensive end. Deflections, steal, and loose balls are his specialty. His offensive game is at its best when the game is sped up.

*6'7" SF Kenny Frasier of Turlock HS 2014 (Stanco Stampede Black)
-An agile and long wing with nice three-point range in the half court set and in transition. As well, he had his athletic jumping abilities on display during the weekend.

6'6 C Sasha French of Justin-Siena HS 2015 (Nor Cal Wildcats 16)
-Long arms. Very comfortable playing with his back to the basket. Doesn't have the aggressiveness he needs to be a good post guy yet. NAIA/Division III prospect.

6'0" SG Theo Friedman of Grant HS, OR 2013 (Elite 24)
-Real good shooter with deep range, pulls up well half court, solid ball handler and passer, heady player.

6'9 PF/C Jonathan Galloway of Salesian HS 2014 (Nor Cal Wildcats Elite)
-Athletic post who is capable around the basket. Runs the floor well. Plays within himself, good passer. Long arms and can block shots. Needs to be more consistent in order to maximize his potential. Division I prospect.

6'6 PF/SF Isaac Garcia of Bellevue HS, WA 2016 (A Plus)
-Athletic combo forward. Too thin to be a physical presence but has potential to be a player. Is very active at both ends of the court. Division II/NAIA prospect at this time.

6'7 PF Marquis Godfrey of James Logan HS 2014 (North Coast Express)
-Very athletic. Good mid-range shooter 15 to 18 feet, decent passer, excellent rebounder, consistently good free throw shooter, can face up and drive, good on ball defender. Consistent game time player. High Division II prospect worth strong low major consideration.

6'5 PF/SF Dennis Golovko of Antelope HS 2014 (PHPS White)
-Undersized as a post and too slow to play the wing. His strength and ability to score can still help a team from 15' and in. Plays bigger than he is. Division II/NAIA prospect.

5'11" G Josh Gonzalez of Sacramento High 2016 (E-Time Hoops 2016 15U)
-Good athlete, attacks the lane, runs well in transition, quick off his feet, good pressure defender.

6'0 SG Sean Gray of Fairfield HS 2014 (PHPS White)
-Can shoot it but can be a somewhat streaky shooter. Athletic enough to lock up on the defensive end and get to the basket on the offensive end. Low Division II/NAIA prospect

6'9 PF Tyler Guitierrez of Sunset HS 2014 (Clutch Players 17 Silver)
-Very good seal move in the post. Gets great position every time. Can shoot it and take guys off the dribble when he faces up. Division I/Division II prospect.

6'3" SG Joey Goodreault of Miramonte HS 2014 (Oakland Rebels 17)
-A lefty shooter with NBA range who has a quick smooth release. Needs to get more involved at both ends.

5'10' G Sammy Gray of Consumnes Oaks HS 2015 (All-Star Sports Predators 16u)
-A good on ball defender that is super fast along with a set of quick hands. He is a very active guard that has an explosive first step and gets to the rim.

*6'9" PF Tyler Gutierrez of Sunset HS, OR 2014 (Clutch Players 17 Silver)
-A real nice power forward that consistently showed he could step out and hit threes with tight defenders. His footwork on the block is very solid, displaying a variety of post moves.

*6'6" PF Dalvin Guy of McClymonds HS 2013 (Oakland Rebels 17)
¬-This athletic big man has excellent shot blocking and timing abilities. Not only is he an effective defender in the post his perimeter defense was on display as well showing proper denial defense one pass away making it almost impossible at times for opponents to start an offense. He would switch onto guards and cover them with effectiveness as well. Shows some ability to score on the block.

6'7" PF James Hadnot of Sacramento HS 2013 (Lakeshow Seniors)
-A strong post presence who was consistently effective. He rebounds very well on both ends of the court. He can use both hands on both sides of the basketball to finish inside post moves. He is a great defensive communicator.

6'0 PG/SG Manny Haggood of Crenshaw HS 2014 (Fastbreak 17 White)
-Has a good perimeter jump shot and nice handle on the ball.

6'3 SF Jeremy Hamilton 2016 (Fastbreak 17 White)
-Does a great job of getting to the basket. Super athletic with a great frame. Division II/Division III prospect.

6'5 SG Joe Hamilton of Central Catholic HS 2014 (Nor Cal Warriors 17u)
-Can shoot the 3 and has nice range. Has a pull up jumper as well. Gets to the rim in transition and in half court sets. Not the most athletic kid but puts his head down and works. Was a very effective scorer throughout the tournament.

6'3" F Richard Hamilton of Moreau Catholic HS 2016 (Bay Area Hoyas)
-A young player that competes with older players and has great upside in the following years. He has good size and can play multiple positions as he was asked to play positions two, three, and four all weekend covering opponents with different skill sets and doing very well on each.

6'3 SF Richard Hampton of Moreau HS 2016 (DI Hoyas)
-Consistently scored, rebounded and defended anybody on the floor. When he plays well the team plays well.

*6'0" SG/PG DeMoriaye Hart-Spikes of Fairfield HS 2014 (Play Hard Play Smart White)
-A strong and athletic combo guard that has ball handling skills. He is also a very effective shooter from the three point line and can finish with contact with either hand. His first step is very fast and he is a heads up guard that actively sees the courts and looks for teammates.

6'5 C Mike Hatfield of Manteca HS 2014 (Manteca Wildcats)
-Pretty strong post man. Plays with his back to the basket and has a good turnaround jumper. Division II/NAIA prospect.

7'1 C Matt Hayashi of Churchill HS, OR 2014 (Oregon Pump and Run)
-Lengthy body but not much toughness. Has trouble playing a sustained period of time. Could develop into a serviceable post guy. Low Division I red-shirt prospect.

6'6 PF Lucas Hendricks of Folsom HS 2015 (Nor Cal Warriors 16)
-Solid body and moves well. Hasn't developed much of an offensive game but can rebound, set screens, and defend well. Division II prospect.

5'11 PG Justin Hill of De La Salle HS 2014 (Greenline)
-Quick one man. Handles well under pressure and can get to the basket. Undersized but tough against contact, shoots it ok with 3-point range

6'5 SF David Hobbs of Carlmont HS 2013 (Golden City)
-Long body, shoots it well, capable ball handler, doesn't move great off the ball. NAIA prospect.

6'10 C Hank Hollingsworth of Lake Chelan HS, WA 2015 (A Plus)
-Still growing into his body but uses positioning well in the post. Goes after rebounds with heart and never stops working. Has nice footwork on the post and coming off screens for catch and shoot scenarios. Needs bulk/strength. Division I red-shirt prospect.

*6'6" PF Lucas Hendricks of Folsom HS 2015 (Nor Cal Warriors 16u)
-A fantastic post defender with excellent footwork and spacing along with anticipation instincts that leads to the alteration of shot attempts. He is lefty that faces the basket very well. He can put the ball on the court and drive to the rim or show patience with post moves. Possibly, division one football player or low division one basketball player at this point. He is projected to end up 6'8".

6'4" SG Semaj Hor of Oakland HS 2013 (Lakeshow Seniors)
-With great length and good size this guard showed the ability to run and lead the break well distributing the ball or finishing through contact. He gets off the floor very quickly to attack the rim or gather rebounds.

6'0" PG Malik Huff of Drake HS 2015 (Lakeshow 16s Elite)
-An athletic guard than can play the one, two, or three position on offense and defense. He can create his own shot or lead the team in motion or a called set offense.

6'5 SG Ryan Iamihoff of Napa HS 2014 (Lakeshow Elite)
-Shoots it well (quick release), big athletic body for a wing but doesn't use it well, smart player, below average quickness. He also has good touch around the rim and moves very well. Division II prospect.

6'0" G UC Irroegbu of Capital Christian HS 2014 (TSB 17)
-He is extremely quick on penetrations and can finish with contact. His body is under control and he can create his own shot. Real nice burst of speed.

6'1 PG Grant Jackson of Monte Vista HS 2014 (Lakeshow 17 Black)
-Clutch player. Handles the ball well and has above average athleticism. Not a vocal leader but can facilitate an offense. Can score some: decent 3 point shooter, good first step, good finisher who uses body well. Good on ball defender and team defender. Steady player. Probable Division II prospect.

6'2 SF Kendrick Jackson of Granite Bay HS 2015 (Spirit Got Game)
-Attacks the basket and is hard to stop. An ok shooter with a nice pull-up game. Needs to do more at the defensive end.

*6'7 PF/C AJ John of Maria Carrillo HS 2014 (Oakland Soldiers)
-Strong and long and athletic. Above average post moves (has a turnaround shot and can dribble operate). Can rebound and block shots. He is very active around the rim disrupting driving opponents or following rebounds for dunks affecting the game both offensively and defensively in a positive manner. His game is coming along nicely and he is a sure-fire Division I prospect.

*6'3 SG Trevor John of Monte Vista HS 2014 (Oakland Soldiers 17 Blue)
- Shoots it real well with a quick release and understands the game. His size also allows him to bang bigger players on defense. Had a career game in the championship finals.

6'5" PF Chris Johnson of LeMoore HS 2014 (TSB 17)
-Ok athlete, fairly long arms, ok mid-range shooter, solid rebounder.

6'4" PF Jamaal Johnson of Oakland Tech HS 2014 (BDU)
-A crafty undersized four man around the rim that also demonstrated he can finish with contact. He attacks the rim hard and rebounds very well. He is a very good free throw shooter.

5'10" PG Josh Johnson of Edison HS 2014 (All Star Predators 17u)
-High energy one man. Handles, pushes the break, real good passer, penetrates vey well, shoots it fairly good with range to 3. MVP of the Varsity Division and his team won the championship.

6'1 PG Keesean Johnson of Palo Alto HS 2014 (Roadrunners 17u)
-Athletic one man who can get to the basket. Good court manager, average jumper. Low Division II/NAIA prospect.

5'8 PG Lawrence Johnson of Castro Valley HS 2016 (DI Hoyas)
One man who can control the game and get everyone involved. Can shoot it with three range but can be too unselfish at times.

6'4 PF/C Wayne Johnson of Pittsburg HS 2013 (Blue Devils)
-Athletic combo post with good size. Too willing to hang away from the action. Doesn't get after it. NAIA prospect.

6'8 C Isaiah Jones of Center HS 2013 (PHPS Elite)
-Athletic post who can use that athleticism to his advantage. Doesn't shoot it well or have the skill to attack off the dribble. Real long arms and can block a shot.

6'0" PG Whitney Jones of Crenshaw HS 2014 (Fastbreak Sports 17u White)
-Point guard who is very effective at running the team and has range beyond the high school arc. He is a nice passer who involves his teammates well.

*6'7 PF/C Natan Jurkovitz of Lake Oswego HS, OR 2014 (Elite 24)
-Unselfish post player, passes well, runs the floor, has post moves. He has real nice touch around the basket showing off jump hooks with a soft touch. Rips down rebounds for put-backs very quickly.

6'0" PG Clarence Kaye of James Logan HS 2013 (Nor Cal Jump Squad)
-Clarence has impressed two years in a row at this event. He is very strong and is very athletic. His ball handling skills easily keep up with his quickness as he takes defenders off the dribble and attacks the rim for dunks, finesse layups on either side of the rim with both hands, or creating opportunities for teammates by drawing two defenders. He defended all opponents and has no fear of the opponent's size. His outside shot was also on display with a steady three and mid-range pull-up. Finds a way to get it done. Under-sized over-achiever with a big heart. NAIA/Division III prospect.

6'2" SF Kinka Kehinde of Ernest Manning HS, Canada 2013 (Collective Calgary)

-A strong post player with above average jumping ability. He uses his strength and speed to be a ferocious rebounder. He is fast and aggressive when attacking the basket and can finish with contact (can create contact to get to the free throw line).

- Rebounds and boxes out very well. He also runs the break very well and finishes with the left or right hand around the rim. -This is a point guard with a smooth pull up jumper that is quick and lethal. He also possesses real nice range with his threes. He always has his eyes up and has had tight cross over to a jump shot. He can make multiple moves back to back to create space for a shot or a passing angle to involve teammates. Can penetrate off the dribble. Worth a look for low majors.

The third annual Southern California Spring Showcase was held Saturday May 11 at Marina High School in Huntington Beach. Here is a report on the event.

Top Prospects (*Indicates Highest Consideration)

6'3" SG/PG Dakota Abbott of Valencia HS 2015 (Crush)
-Solid ball handler and passer, pulls up well in the half court, shoots it ok with 3-point range, needs some bulk/strength.

5'11" SG Drew Arnold of Alemany HS 2015 (Pressure Basketball 17u White)
-Combo guard with knack for getting shot off in traffic, active rebounder, good athlete, worth tracking for future recruitment.

*6'2 PG Josh Armstrong of Fountain Valley HS 2013 (So Cal Grind)
-One man who makes a ton of plays with the ball in his hands: gets in the lane and makes plays for others or finishes himself, shoots from the perimeter, gets to the basket on the drive.

*5'10" PG Tyler Batiste of Westchester HS 2013 (Fastbreak Sports Black)
Was simply out-standing in this event-hard to believe he is unsigned. Savvy ball handler, real effective in transition- pulls up nicely, moves ok without the ball, good driver, shoots it fairly well, posts up a bit, nice rebounder.

-Highly skilled and versatile guard/wing, good rebounder, very good 3 point shooter, competes and plays hard.

The 2013 Nor Cal Spring Showcase was held Friday to Sunday April 26 -28, 2013 at San Francisco City College. Forty seven teams from throughout the western United States participated in the NCAA sanctioned event. Here is a report.
