Hoop Review is a scouting service that over 200 colleges and universities subscribe to and it is run by Gerry Freitas, a former college coach himself. It produces evaluations/reports of high school and junior college prospects throughout the western United States that are sent to the colleges and universitites to assist in the recruiting process.

A second aspect of the Hoop Review is a series of events throughout the state of California that are conducted by Gerry Freitas. These events are done to help facilitate the scouting process and give players additional exposure to colleges and universities. Every Hoop Review event has a post-event report that is posted on this site and other web sites in addition to being sent to colleges and universities.
